Long Live Capper

I’m a little late to this saga, but if you are too, the CRG idiots (they like Scott Walker and calling people Nazis) are accusing our good friend at Cognitive Dissidence of blogging on county time. The problem for them is they have no evidence. The problem for us is some people are dumb enough to swallow anything.

If you are interested, below is a very incomplete list of WI bloggers telling the whole story. The summary is: CRG accused capper of blogging on county time, their evidence consists of blogs posted mostly on Scott Walker imposed furlough days, and CRG is wasting county resources by forcing an investigation. For a better take on the story check out any of these WI blogs, in a not even close to complete list:

One Wisconsin Now

Haas414

Brew City Brawler

Folkbum

Emily Mills

Illusory Tenant

And while we’re at it, where was CRG when it was PROVEN a Scott Walker staffer Darlene Wink was commenting on JS online articles on county time? Funny thing is, conservatives are now going off on the “mainstream media” for not covering this enough. Despite the constant coverage of tea parties, those morons still rally around everything being a conspiracy to ignore them. If only we were so lucky.

Anyway, I know you’re going to hang in there capper. If a blogger died every time the right-wing lied we would have been in the negative category of existence long before our buddy Al Gore invented the internet.

I’m calling Chris Kliesmet at CRG tomorrow. Phone number 414-429-9501 or 414-801-0800. Can’t wait to ask them how they reconcile “responsible government” with government funded witchhunts.

That’s Not Debatable

The latest “That’s Debatable” from WisOpinion is predictably about Dave Obey’s retirement. Also predictably, Brian Fraley denigrates Obey’s forty year career of public service (as does 3rd CD candidate Dan Kapanke).  Even Obey’s (former) likely opponent Sean Duffy could muster a compliment for the 21 term Congressman, as did Obey’s former unlikely opponent, Dan Mielke.

But the meat of this post is here: Scot Ross busts out a great quote from Obey, on the Clinton budget surplus the Bush administration squandered. Completely oblivious, Fraley responds that us rotten liberal’s plan for the future is “spend, spend, spend.”

????????????????????????????????

Also confusing is Fraley’s shot at the old-school Wisconsin Democratic Party being “Old, white and male.” His Repulican Pa–oh wait, the MacIver Institute is non partisan… they just handle record requests from GOP legislators.

Dave Westlake takes a seat at the crazy table

Dumbest story of the day goes to Missile Defense Agency, Obama Campaign Logos Cause Internet Stir. Some on the right are bothered over the logo of the agency bearing similarities to both Obama’s campaign logo and a symbol of Islam. Illustration from Drudge Report, new Missile Defense logo on top;

and the right says

“Candidate” for Senate Dave Westlake proves that he is a nut that is unfit to govern when he buys in to the story, via Twitter;

#blazeorange"

The whole ordeal is ridiculous. These right-wingers should be happy the Obama administration is funding missile defense at nearly Bush administration levels even though calling the program a failure is generous (more fitting is total failure, utter and complete failure or trainwreck).

This should be expected from a party that doesn’t actually have any policy plans besides cut-taxes-then-wonder-how-to-pay-for-anything. Heaven help us if these incompetent nuts come to power.

Terrence Wall: Running for Senate Because Business is Bad? Mum’s the Word…

Terrence Wall can’t make up his mind. Last week in a Capital Times story Russ Feingold’s likely opponent had no problem slamming One Wisconsin Now as “paid hacks” via email. But a Sunday Green Bay Press-Gazette article states Wall declined to be interviewed until his “official” campaign begins in January.

Whats the deal with the two month wait?

Maybe Wall hired a strategist who told him to keep comments like “no good deed goes unpunished” in regard to T. Wall Properties $34,000 pumpkin-patch-tax-dodge to himself.

That $34,000 tax dodge certainly ingratiated him to some in the business community.  A Psychotherapist/treatment center owner/blogger by the name of Dr. Dan Budenz thinks;

“If T Wall and his accountants know all the tax loopholes maybe they could close them so the average businessperson doesn’t have to appear so dishonest in legally conducting their business.”

Semantic flaws of the statement aside, I know what Budenz is getting at. And if Wall isn’t going to talk to anyone outside his supporters for the next two months, what we know about his campaign must be extrapolated from the pumpkin patch and Delaware LLC’s. His campaign slogan could be: Terrence Wall for Senate, making legal what was once immoral.

Really though, why is Terrence Wall running for Senate?

When asked at a “Freedom Matters” luncheon he gave the tired GOP standard line about businessman running the government like a business. Then he said, “my companies are suffering.”

Sounds to me like Terrence Wall is running to either:

A. Supplement his income

B. Make his real estate business more profitable

Or maybe he is just a patriot that wants to use his business skills to save our country. I don’t know. He doesn’t have a website up yet. What do you think?

Terrence Wall Found Another Loophole

One Wisconsin Now issued this press release today exposing another loophole likely Feingold opponent Terrence Wall is using to shift the state tax burden onto you. Classifying land containing the remnants of a pumpking patch as agricultural, Wall is saving thousands of dollars in taxes. The pictures are great.

Also, my hard drive has bit the dust, hopefully regular updates will return in a few days.
